In Text View in the period from 1986 onward, text in green has a link to a Yomiuri Shimbun Mini Definition. Click on the text to see a pop-up window with explanatory text.
As the Mini Definitions are updated on a regular basis, the definition may not correspond to the usage of the term in the article. Likewise, if the highlighted text is part of a longer term in the article, the correspondence of the Mini Definition to the longer term may not be exact.
